Dmitry Zagrebin
First Soloist, Royal Swedish Ballet
Dance Open: 2017
His brilliant and expressive technique, excellent posture and precision in rotations conquer the audience from the very first minutes. It was Dmitry’s destiny to become a ballet dancer — in his family there are three generations of ballet artists. Upon the graduation from the Moscow Choreographic Academy he successfully passed the competition to join the Bolshoi Ballet. He has also been performing with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre, Queensland ballet (Australia) and Aalto Ballet (Germany).
In 2015 he joined the Royal Swedish Ballet as a soloist, where he soon became the principal dancer.
He won many awards and titles, such as the first prizes at the XI International competition of ballet dancers and choreographers in Moscow (2009) and the VII International competition of ballet dancers in Seoul (2010).
